At Brambley Lodge, we’ve designed our nursery rooms to reflect the unique needs of children at different stages of their early development.
Each space offers a warm, stimulating and homely environment that nurtures independence, imagination, and a sense of belonging.

Holly Hedgehogs

Holly Hedgehogs, our baby room, being our smallest, offers a calm, cosy and comforting environment tailored for just six babies.
From soft textures and sensory play to body painting and herb-scented dough, this room is all about discovery through touch, sound, and exploration, nurturing that early development.
Each baby is assigned a dedicated key person who works closely with you to understand and support your baby’s individual needs, and ensure a gentle, supportive transition into nursery for both of you.
We understand how emotional those first few weeks can be, and we’re here to walk beside you every step of the way. Our settling-in sessions are designed to be calm and unhurried — you’re welcome to stay and play with your baby as they get to know their new surroundings at their own pace.
We also invite you to bring in familiar items from home to help your baby feel settled and secure.
Rosie Rabbits & Oscar Owls (up to 12 children each) are lively, engaging spaces designed to build confidence, independence, and communication through play.
As your child begins to explore the world around them more actively, our toddler rooms are where growing curiosity meets busy little hands! Exploration, messy play and social interaction are the order of the day. Allowing little personalities to begin to shine and confidence to start to blossom.
Daily routines are structured around the children’s interests, with plenty of opportunities for imaginative play, sensory exploration, and group activities that encourage social development.

Pre-School Rooms
Our pre-schoolers are supported and encouraged as they take their next steps toward school readiness.
Each room offers a wide variety of carefully planned activities covering all seven areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

Our Freddie Foxes room is a place full of wonder, independence and discovery. Our 2-3 year olds become more curious, capable and confident in their own abilities. From buttering their own toast to choosing their fruit, our preschoolers are supported to become increasingly independent.
By the time the children leave the Freddie Foxes, they’re not just learning how to do things but discovering that they can!

Our Sammy Squirrels children love to take on real responsibilities to help them feel empowered, valued and confident. Whether they’re helping the cook to take in the nursery shopping, doing ‘jobs’ with a staff member or helping care for the younger children, they learn that their actions make a difference.
The children are at the heart of the planning, coming up with their own ideas, choosing the topics that interest them and using loose parts freely to bring their own ideas to life. We believe that being ‘ready’ for school isn’t just about letters, numbers and science investigations but about being thoughtful, kind and respectful too.
