We are an independent, family-run nursery based in South Cave, East Yorkshire, proudly caring for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years since 2019.

A Family-Run Nursery with Heart

Brambley Lodge is the sister nursery to Brambley Cottage and continues the family tradition of providing high quality childcare. Led by sisters Sarah & Emma, our team brings the same passion, dedication, and hands-on involvement that has shaped our nurseries since 1998. Our personal family touch shapes everything we do, and our commitment to your child’s care and development runs deep.

Our Nursery Setting

Nestled in an idyllic location in the heart of South Cave, we are surrounded by trees and green fields within the site of South Cave Primary School. This provides the children with a safe and peaceful environment with easy access to nature, while becoming familiar with school life, making that transition to ‘Big School’ so much easier when the times comes!

Our nursery is a single-storey building with 62 places, complete with four large car parks within meters of our doors for easy drop-offs and pickups.

Our Team and Philosophy

Our large team of qualified nursery practitioners bring enthusiasm and experience to the nursery every day. Led by a management team with many years of childcare expertise, we have a proven track record of providing high-quality care in a warm, stimulating, and nurturing environment.

We know that every child is unique. That’s why we support and encourage children to develop at their own pace, respecting their individuality. Our planning is dynamic and child-led, with lively discussions and plenty of room for creativity.

We are proud to have been rated GOOD by Ofsted following our last inspection.

Inspectors praise us for the children having lots of opportunities to explore nature in the grounds of the nursery and during trips into the local community.

They felt that staff know their children well and use this knowledge to plan individual learning for them. This helps children to make good progress in their learning and development and contributes to children's high levels of motivation.
